Job Position: Sr. Application Developer (Multiple Positions) Job Description: The Senior Application Developer position is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and growing applications developed by BriXcel, Inc. Qualified candidates should have experience working with C, C++, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, ABAP, C#.Net on the latest Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems. In addition to a strong technical background, the ideal candidate should show the ability to think critically, gather information and problem solve in a team environment. As a member of a small team, the successful candidate will be able to play an important role in BriXcel Projects while working with the latest technologies. Job Requirements: – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics or related degree with relevant work experience. – Professional Software Development & programming experience in C, C++, Java, C#.Net, SQL, PL / SQL – Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and computer science concepts relative to the platform. – Mastery of relevant development languages, tools, frameworks, utilities and technical dependencies. – Understanding of implications from design and implementation choices toward building secure, scalable, durable, flexible, accessible solutions. – Leads in the planning, estimating, development, testing and implementation of initiatives to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the application. – Ability to write and value high quality, reusable software with minimal defects. – Ability to learn and incorporate new technologies, concepts and development languages. – Ability to analyze, diagnose and propose solutions. – Ability to understand and escalate technical challenges with options and recommendations. – Leads / participates in project and team meetings interacting and collaborating with team members and other departments. – Provides guidance to team members. – Leads process and application improvement opportunities to improve the reliability and extensibility of the application and to improve the overall Service Level Agreement (SLA). – Liaises with third party vendors, when appropriate, to ensure that the integration of third-party products and existing applications and systems is practical and feasible given the underlining technologies. – Collaborates with Development Technology Services in the requirements definition and analysis and to select development, testing, and implementation tools for the Application Software Development. – Leads / participates in software development Process Action Teams and contributes to the continuous improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for the overall effectiveness of the development. – Writes code according to accepted standards based on user requirements. – Working understanding of application architecture, infrastructure and security concepts and technical implementation. – Thorough understanding of data transport mechanisms and integrations including synchronous, asynchronous, bulk data, tightly and loosely coupled methods. – Strong Knowledge of Networking Communication Protocols such as, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and TCP / IP. – Working Knowledge of PowerShell and / or SQL. – Experience consuming Web APIs using JSON and SOAP. – Experience developing customer facing components and backend APIs. – Knowledge in .NET Framework 4.x, .NET Core Frameworks and C# programming language is plus. – Aptitude to pick up new technologies and trends, as they become relevant for the business and our platforms.
