Step into a vital nursing role within a reputable Medical Progressive Care Unit, supporting patients with varied, often complex needs. This contract position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses ready to deliver high-level care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The unit features 27 beds and maintains a 1:3-1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, allowing you to provide attentive, individualized care while working with a skilled and dedicated team.Work Schedule:36 hours per week (day shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.)Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) requiredQualifications:Active RN licenseMinimum of 2 years' experience in Progressive CareBLS and ACLS certification requiredStrong assessment abilities, proficiency with peripheral lab drawsExperience managing medications such as norepinephrine, nicardipine, precedex, insulin, and diltiazem dripsComfortable using Alaris pumps, EKG monitoring, and Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred)Ability and willingness to float to other inpatient areas as neededEmpathetic, flexible team player with a positive attitudeKey Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients with conditions including sepsis, respiratory distress, substance use, endocrine, psych, and renal disordersPerform comprehensive assessments and coordinate patient careAdminister IV infusions and monitor responses to therapyCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomesAdhere to unit protocols and maintain accurate documentation within EpicAdditional Information:Navy scrubs requiredOne-day orientation provided, including Epic training if neededOnsite education modules to be completed on your first dayIf you're committed to providing compassionate, high-level care and excel in dynamic clinical settings, we encourage you to apply today and bring your experience to an outstanding Progressive Care Unit.
