Registered Nurse In Intensive Care Unit (Icu)As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional healthcare to critically ill patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and specialized care. Your primary responsibilities will include:Patient Assessment: Perform thorough and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing the need for interventions.Critical Care: Provide specialized care to critically ill patients, including those with complex medical conditions.Ventilator Management: Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, ensuring proper settings and patient comfort.Medication Administration: Administer medications, fluids, and blood products as prescribed, and monitor patient responses while maintaining accurate records.Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including code blue situations, and provide immediate life-saving interventions.Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.Equipment Operation: Competently operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the ICU.Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse and able to work in the state of Indiana.American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) In-Person certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.Minimum one year recent experience in short term Acute Care ICU setting required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Access to ongoing training and development programs.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Meaningful work that makes a difference in patients' lives.Alto Health Care Staffing is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
