We partner closely with our clients and internal teams to design scalable, secure, and future-ready technology environments—prioritizing quality, speed, and long-term impact.Role OverviewTURNBRIDGE is seeking a Cloud Engineer / Architect to design, build, and operate a secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environment that supports consulting delivery, internal innovation, and client-facing solutions.This role bridges architecture and hands-on execution, owning cloud strategy while ensuring day-to-day systems operate reliably and efficiently. You will play a critical role in enabling business growth, AI initiatives, and consulting engagements—without introducing unnecessary risk or complexity.Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Strategy & RoadmapDefine and evolve a cloud strategy aligned with business growth, consulting delivery, and emerging capabilities (including AI and agent-based systems)Build and maintain a forward-looking cloud roadmap balancing scalability, cost efficiency, and execution speedPartner with leadership to prioritize investments in cloud infrastructure and platformsArchitecture & Platform DesignDesign and maintain scalable cloud architectures across platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services Establish and enforce architecture standards across networking, identity, data, and application layersDefine and manage patterns for multi-environment setups, including:Production environmentsInternal toolsClient demo and sandbox environmentsLead the design of API frameworks and integration patterns across internal and external systemsSecurity, Compliance & Risk ManagementImplement and maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and monitoringOwn cloud-related risk identification and remediation effortsEnsure compliance with relevant standards and client expectations (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA where applicable)Partner with Security and Legal teams to translate technical risks into clear business implicationsCloud Operations & PerformanceManage and optimize cloud infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiencyMonitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks and failure risksImplement automation for provisioning, scaling, and system health monitoringAct as escalation point for critical cloud incidents and outagesAI & Emerging Technology EnablementSupport development and deployment of internal AI tools, including agent-based workflows and automation systemsDesign infrastructure to support AI workloads (data pipelines, APIs, model integrations)Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud-native AI servicesDemo & Sandbox Environment GovernanceCreate and maintain a governance model for isolated environments used in:Client demosPrototypesProofs of conceptEnsure strict separation between corporate and demo environmentsEnable rapid provisioning of clean, repeatable environments for consulting teamsFinancial Management & OptimizationMonitor and report on cloud consumption and costsImplement cost optimization strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, usage tracking)Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of cloud expensesProvide visibility into cost drivers and ROI of cloud investmentsSaaS & Vendor ManagementManage relationships with key SaaS and cloud vendorsOversee licensing, renewals, and usage optimizationEvaluate new tools and platforms to support internal and consulting needsMetrics, Reporting & Continuous ImprovementDefine and track key cloud and IT performance metrics (uptime, cost efficiency, deployment speed)Build dashboards and reporting for leadership visibilityContinuously improve cloud architecture, processes, and tooling based on usage and feedbackRequired Qualifications5-10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure rolesHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services Strong understanding of:Cloud networking and infrastructure designIdentity and access management (IAM)API integrations and distributed systemsExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, or similar)Proven ability to balance architectural strategy with hands-on executionPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting AI/ML or agent-based systems in cloud environmentsFamiliarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesExperience in consulting environments or client-facing delivery modelsKnowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture and enterprise identity models
