We focus exclusively at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and business — placing talent in Healthcare IT, business operations, and care management roles across health systems, payers, and consulting firms nationwide.What You'll Be DoingAs a Recruiter Intern at Walker Healthforce, you will be embedded in our team and exposed to the full recruiting lifecycle — from sourcing and outreach to screening and coordination. This is not a passive, observational internship. You will contribute directly to active searches and develop real skills that translate to a career in recruiting, sales, or healthcare operations.Candidate Sourcing & ResearchSearch LinkedIn, Indeed, and industry-specific platforms to identify qualified candidates in Healthcare IT, care management, and business operationsBuild talent pipelines for specialized roles such as EHR specialists, clinical informaticists, care coordinators, case managers, and other healthcare positions.Develop working knowledge of our ATS (Bullhorn) and industry job boards.Candidate Screening & EngagementReview resumes to evaluate alignment with client requirements across technical, clinical, and professional dimensionsConduct initial outreach and pre-screening conversations to assess candidate qualifications, interest, and fitMaintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the processRecruitment Operations & CoordinationSchedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and the recruiting teamMaintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)Support active requisitions through pipelining of candidates.Market Intelligence & LearningBuild familiarity with key healthcare verticals, including health systems, managed care organizations, health plans, and consulting firmsParticipate in team meetings, training, and company-wide meetings/eventsRequiredCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Sales & Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional presenceAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with digital tools and platformsPreferredPrior coursework, internship, or work experience in healthcare, recruiting, or salesFamiliarity with healthcare terminology, care delivery models, or health information technologyExperience using LinkedIn, ATS platforms, or CRM toolsWalkerHealthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
