Details Work in the Medical/Surgical unit of a 110-bed short-term acute care hospital General medical and surgical patient population Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) Every third weekend rotation required Holiday rotation based on department needs Floating required to a sister hospital campus and to other units including surgical and telemetry Epic EMR; experience required Block scheduling is not available for this position Free parking available on-site Requirements Valid MO RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scrub color required: light gray/silver Some initial orientation sessions will occur on weekdays due to limited weekend class availability No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract Chemo administration and charge nurse experience are preferred skills Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travelers may remain for up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break is required Pending IL license candidates may be considered with a note on submission American Traveler Job ID P-688379.
