We’re looking for a dynamic, relationship-driven leader to bring our mission to life through meaningful events, strong community partnerships, and engaging fundraising experiences.As our Director of Events & Community Engagement, you’ll lead the strategy, planning, and execution of BGCB fundraising events and community initiatives, helping drive critical revenue while strengthening our presence across Central Oregon.This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys building relationships, driving fundraising success, leading volunteers and committees, and bringing people together through meaningful community experiences.What You’ll DoLead Fundraising Events & Community Experiences· Own the full lifecycle of BGCB events, from planning through post-event follow-up and evaluation· Plan and execute signature events such as Flannel & Frost, Throwback Prom, Kids Luncheon, Annual Meeting, Volunteer Appreciation, and more· Develop and manage event budgets, planning timelines, and execution oversight· Set and achieve ambitious revenue goals through sponsorships, ticket sales, and auctions· Monitor performance throughout the planning cycle and adjust strategy as needed to meet goals· Track and report event attendance, sponsorship retention, and revenue outcomesDeliver Exceptional Event & Volunteer Experiences· Oversee event execution, including registration, run of show, auctions, and attendee experience· Manage event systems, ticketing, seating, auction tracking, and revenue reporting· Ensure events are organized, prepared, and execution-ready· Recruit, train, and lead volunteers supporting events and community engagement efforts· Lead and support event committees and volunteers· Ensure smooth, engaging, and mission-driven experiences for attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and partners· Identify high-potential donors and community partners through event participationGrow Sponsorship & Community Partnerships· Develop and lead sponsorship strategy across events and campaigns· Identify, secure, and retain sponsors and community partners· Cultivate relationships with sponsors, local businesses, and community organizations· Ensure sponsors are engaged through meaningful touchpoints before, during, and after events· Deliver sponsor benefits accurately and on time· Identify and grow new sponsorship, fundraising, and engagement opportunities· Serve as the lead contact for third-party and community-hosted events· Lead Corporate Playdates and similar community engagement experiences· Represent BGCB professionally and positively in the community· Strengthen BGCB’s presence across Central OregonSupport Community Campaigns· Collaborate on Retail Roundup and other community-based campaigns· Build relationships with participating businesses and partners· Track campaign results and identify opportunities for growthWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in event management, fundraising, or community engagementProven success driving revenue through events and sponsorshipsStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExceptional communication and relationship-building skillsExperience leading volunteers, committees, and community partnershipsBudget management and performance tracking experienceFamiliarity with event platforms and CRM systems preferredA genuine commitment to BGCB’s mission and youth developmentYou enjoy bringing people together, building relationships, and creating experiences that inspire support for local youth What to ExpectA highly collaborative, all hands on deck cultureOccasional evening and weekend work tied to eventsOpportunities to make a visible impact in the communityA role that blends strategy, fundraising, relationship-building, creativity, and hands-on workExcellent benefits package and team-oriented work environment Physical RequirementsThis role includes active, hands-on event work. You’ll need the ability to:Stand and move for extended periods during events and setupLift and carry up to 25–35 lbs.
