IT Operations Specialist

Title: IT Operations SpecialistJob Type: ContractContract Length: 6+ monthsTarget Start Date: ASAPWork Location/Structure: Onsite in Las Vegas, NV (5 days in office)About the OpportunityOur client, a leader in autonomous vehicle industry, is looking for a hands-on IT Operations Specialist to support their Technical Operations (TechOps) function within a real-time Fusion Center environment in Las Vegas, NV. This role is fully on-site in a secure facility and is key to capturing and improving the technical backbone of live operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and documentation skills with practical experience in systems, networking, and operations workflows to streamline mission-critical processes. Contractors will initially work day shifts (9:00 am to 6:30 pm), with a shift rotation to cover weekends and evenings as needed.Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesShadowing and documenting live operational workflows, dependencies, and system interactions within the Fusion Center.Mapping technical processes and performing analysis to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.Coordinating with cross-functional teams (Ops, DevOps, Infrastructure, Engineering) to streamline workflows and drive efficiency improvements.Drafting clear, concise process documentation and improvement recommendations for the technical backbone of live operations.Communicating findings, process maps, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.Required Skills & ExperienceWe are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:Strong technical documentation and analytical capability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Prior hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:Windows workstation supportReal-time operations or command-center environmentsTCP/IP networking or systems administrationWeb application or infrastructure troubleshootingFamiliarity with agile methodologies.Experience in NOC/SOC/Operations Center or equivalent 24x7 support environment is preferred.Familiarity with monitoring tools, cloud diagnostics, or automation platforms is preferred.5+ years of relevant technical experience is preferred.Comfortable collaborating with DevOps / Infrastructure teams.Must be able to work on-site in a secure facility (background check required) supporting a fast-paced, mission-critical operations center.J-18808-Ljbffr
