Facilities Technician / Machine Maintenance

Position Overview: Van Mark Products is searching for a candidate to fill the position of Facilities Technician. This position will also be responsible for Machine Maintenance. Candidates who have Facilities experience, and are willing to be trained on machine maintenance, are an ideal fit. The primary focus of this position will be facility enhancements, upgrades and repairs. This position works 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Essential Job Functions: · Solicits bids and quotes from vendors for projects requiring outside assistance. · Monitors outside contractor performance and works with outside vendors to ensure work is completed according to specifications. · Ability to make recommendations for purchasing supplies, equipment, and materials for planned facilities enhancements. · Ability to document and maintain historical records of project details. · Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and outside vendors. · Completes basic carpentry tasks. · Performs minor electrical duties and determines when an electrician is required. · Performs minor structural building repairs and painting. · Performs minor plumbing repairs and upgrades. · Machine Repair and Maintenance. · Completes routine maintenance inspections. · Ability to follow prints and assembly instructions. · Dexterity to climb ladders and work at elevated heights. · While providing services to the internal customer (peers, management), demonstrates professional customer service skills that consistently improve customer satisfaction. Requirements: · Education / Certification o High School diploma or equivalent o Valid Driver’s License · Knowledge & Experience o Experience in facility maintenance. o Strong organizational skills. o Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools. o Ability to or willingness to learn how to weld and use cutting torch. o Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and appropriate safety precautions. · Personal Attributes o Ability & willingness to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions o Ability to conform to Company policies and procedures o Ability to work independently after receiving instructions o Ability to work effectively in a participative/team-oriented environment o Requires the ability to maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and supervisors · Other Skills / Abilities o Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally o Ability to lift up to 20lbs often NO RECRUITERS Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Application Question(s): Please describe in 1-2 sentences how your previous experience is relevant to this role.
