#LI-Skilled-01 Now Hiring 1st Shift Assemblers in McPherson, KS Schedule: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Summary: Join our team in McPherson, a city known for its welcoming community and vibrant economy. As a valued member of our production team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of components in accordance with product specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, and quality procedures. Responsibilities: Assemble components according to blueprints, routers, work orders, checklists, and specifications to build, assemble, and test parts and finished goods that meet quality standards in an accurate and timely fashion. Accurately complete assembly checklists. Monitor stock bins in the work area and report stock needs to Shop Floor Lead(s). Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures. Adhere to the company Code of Conduct. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to work effectively unsupervised. Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues and create solutions. Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement changes in processes and procedures as needed. Ability to understand and interpret drawings, BOMs, and procedures. Physical Demands: Regularly required to read, write, and communicate in English. Stand and/or walk for 10 hours a day, with minimal breaks. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently or up to 50 pounds with assistance. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color distinction, and the ability to observe small handwriting, labels, and components. Always required to wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses. Required to wear hearing protection in designated areas. Position requires on-site presence during scheduled shifts to perform daily duties and responsibilities. Requires daily face-to-face interaction and communication with employees on the production line and management. Work Environment: Work on the production shop floor that does not have controlled temperatures and will vary based on weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to fumes and minimal to moderate noise.
