A nationally recognized litigation firm with offices across the Northeast and Midwest is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its growing Complex Business Litigation Department. The firm has a longstanding reputation for handling sophisticated civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts.Position OverviewThe firm is seeking an attorney with approximately 5–7 years of business litigation experience who is interested not only in handling sophisticated litigation matters, but also in taking on a more supervisory and team-building role, particularly within the New York office.ResponsibilitiesConduct investigations related to complex commercial litigation mattersManage and oversee all phases of discoveryDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memorandaPerform legal research and factual analysis in connection with complex fraud and business disputesParticipate in strategy development for high-exposure litigation mattersInterface with clients, experts, and opposing counselAssist with supervising and developing junior staff and supporting growth initiatives within the New York officeQualifications5–7 years of litigation experience requiredExperience with complex commercial litigation strongly preferredCivil RICO litigation experience is welcomed, but not requiredAdmission to the New York Bar preferred (or ability to obtain admission)Strong research, writing, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to manage large-scale litigation matters independentlyDemonstrated leadership potential and interest in team development
