Daytime Caregiver Needed

Job Description Description:Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.The individual is a young adult female in need of a companion to support with community outings such as going to the movies, the gym, walking in the park. She enjoys swimming and going to the movies. She is described as easy going, friendly and happy.This is an independent contract position and pays $17.00 per hourSchedule: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4 hours per day, flexible schedule. No weekends! Great schedule for parents of school aged children.You will be a good fit for this position if you :Have a positive outlook and contagious energyDemonstrate patience and compassionResponsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activitiesAssisting with personal hygiene tasksMeal preparation and light cleaningEnsuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environmentFacilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointmentsPromote communication, choice, independence, and socializationComplete daily progress notesRequirements:Qualifications and SkillsValid driver's licenseMust be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background ScreeningProvide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.Have a High School diploma or equivalentAre 18 years of age or older
