Process Engineer
About the CompanyWe are seeking an experienced Engineer to support our FAR 145 Repair Station operations, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of commercial engine accessories, specifically CFM56 and V2500 platforms. This role is responsible capability introduction by interpreting Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) to establish new processes, equipment, tooling, test rigs, tooling, work instructions, and production/repair lines for accessories, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and OEM standards.About the RoleThis role is responsible for capability introduction by interpreting Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) to establish new processes, equipment, tooling, test rigs, tooling, work instructions, and production/repair lines for accessories, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and OEM standards.ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret CMMs and other regulatory guidance to develop FAA-compliant MRO procedures.Translate engineering data, OEM requirements, and regulatory guidance into detailed work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation suitable for technicians and auditors.Ensure all process instructions align with FAR 145 requirements, including quality control, inspection, and record-keeping obligations.Collaborate with maintenance technicians, production staff, and quality teams to validate processes and ensure practical implementation.Support first-article inspections, tooling verification, functional testing on test stands, and other process validations.Identify process improvements for efficiency, repeatability, and regulatory compliance.Maintain engineering and process documentation in accordance with FAR 145 record retention and audit requirements.Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting accessory issues and implement solutions in compliance with FAA and OEM requirements. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.Direct experience with aviation MRO operations under FAR 145, preferably with CFM56, V2500, or similar commercial engine accessories.Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying CMMs and other FAA guidance to create work instructions and process documentation.Understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations, repair station operations, quality systems, and audit requirements.Ability to convert technical and regulatory guidance into actionable, precise, and compliant procedures.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.Hands-on familiarity with test stands, inspection, and functional verification of engine accessories is preferred.
