Job Description: Litigation Paralegal This role requires full-time, on-site presence at our firm’s Woodland Hills location. Only those within commuting distance to Woodland Hills need apply.We are a client-focused personal injury law firm dedicated to helping individuals who have been injured due to accidents, negligence, or malpractice. Our team is committed to providing compassionate and aggressive legal representation to ensure our clients receive the compensation they deserve. We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide crucial support to our attorneys throughout all stages of a personal injury lawsuits, from initial client intake to trial and post-trial procedures.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and organize case files, track deadlines, manage litigation calendars, and coordinate with all parties involved, including clients, attorneys, and third parties.Draft various legal documents under attorney supervision, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, deposition notices, settlement agreements, and trial documents.Conduct thorough legal research on relevant statutes, case law, regulations, and previous decisions using resources like Westlaw and LexisNexis. May also involve fact investigation, interviewing clients and witnesses, and gathering evidence.Facilitate the discovery process by preparing interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and organizing depositions.Assist in all aspects of trial and arbitration preparation, including preparing exhibit binders, witness lists, trial notebooks, coordinating witness testimony, and providing real-time assistance during proceedings.Act as a liaison, communicating with clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, and other professionals, providing updates, and answering procedural questions.Order, review, and summarize medical records, understanding medical terminology and common injuries relevant to personal injury cases.Perform general administrative tasks, including processing attorney time summaries and bills, scheduling appointments and meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining office procedures.Essential skills and qualificationsPrevious experience in personal injury or civil litigation is required.Strong understanding of personal injury law, legal terminology, and court procedures (state and federal). Knowledge of medical terminology is also helpful.Proficiency in legal software and case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.Meticulous attention to detail is critical when drafting documents, managing deadlines, and reviewing records.Ability to anticipate potential issues and identify solutions to support attorneys in their case strategies.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism while adhering to ethical guidelinesExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)Free ParkingHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Sick TimePaid Time OffRetirement Plan
