Controller Salary: $130-170k + bonusOur client, a local manufacturing organization that is actively looking at M&A opportunities, is currently seeking a Controller to join their team.What we like about this Controller position:The company is redefining innovation in assembly automation - serving many forward moving industries: defense, energy, pharma, med device/life science, electronics, automotive, food/beverage & moreSuccession seat with direct line to outgoing CFO roleThe role is open due to a retirement - current CFO started as their first Controller 7-8 years ago and really brought the accounting function in houseVisibility and influence in a transforming , automation-driven businessOpportunity to shape finance function and support executive transitionClosely held family business that is growing1 acquisition in 2025 and looking for more M&AYear-end shut down Xmas to New Year's decision will be announced in fallGet your birthday off!Base + bonus, 9 holidays, 3% profit share, 401k contributionKey Responsibilities of this Controller role:Lead the month-end close for multiple locations and ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and consolidated reporting.Maintain and strengthen internal controls and standardize accounting processes company wide.Oversee standard costing, cost roll-ups, and cost updates across all plants.Analyze multi-site production variances (labor, material, overhead).Manage inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across locations and lead cycle counts and physical inventory at each facility.Partner with plant leadership to improve cost visibility and reduce waste.Ensure compliance with state-specific tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements.Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis for multiple facilities.Collaborate with supply chain, production, and engineering to optimize operations.Additional tasks as assigned.What they want to see the Controller bring:BS AccountingManufacturing industry experience, with M&A experience as a plus.Epicor experience preferred but not required, ERP experience requiredCost accounting, month-end, FS prep, budgeting/forecasting, working with plant operations
