As a Traffic Engineer, you will work as part of a traffic team on a variety of traffic forecasting, analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects.What are the core responsibilities for the role? Work as part of a traffic team on a variety of traffic forecasting, analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projectsConduct operational traffic analysis using a variety of modeling tools, ranging from highway capacity software to complex micro simulation models analyze everything from isolated intersections and roundabouts to urban arterials and freeway segmentsPerform complex traffic engineering tasks, exercise sound engineering judgment, prepare traffic impact analysis reportsMake decisions on design and engineering proceduresFunction as a technical specialist on mid-size projectsPerform other duties as neededManage multiple traffic tasks and projects within scope, schedule, and budgetPrepare clear and accurate technical reports, construction plans, specifications and estimates from start to finishQualifications, Skills, and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineering (PE) licensure6-12 years of experience in traffic analysis and traffic engineering designProficiency with Synchro/SimTraffic, VISTRO, and/or VISSIMExcellent communication, written, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong teamwork skills, working cooperatively with other team members, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managersWhy would a candidate want this job?
