Our mission is to provide a world-class training environment that empowers athletes to reach their goals efficiently and consistently.Our culture sets us apart - we are driven, high-energy, and passionate about impacting lives.At D1, our promise is:"You pick the goal, we help you get there."Our coaches are the driving force behind that promise.Position OverviewThe Summer Football Coach is responsible for developing football athletes during the off-season by improving speed, strength, explosiveness, conditioning, and football IQ in preparation for the upcoming season.This role focuses on translating D1's training philosophy into football-specific performance, helping athletes gain a competitive edge before fall camp.Job SummaryFoster a high-energy, competitive, and motivating training environmentPrepare athletes for football season through structured strength & conditioning programsImprove speed, agility, and explosiveness specific to football performanceMaximize athlete retention through elite coaching, accountability, and relationship-buildingTeach discipline, work ethic, and mental toughness Key ResponsibilitiesLead football-specific group training sessions and campsDevelop and implement off-season football performance programsCoach proper sprint mechanics, change of direction, and position-specific movementsIncorporate drills focused on:Acceleration & top-end speedAgility & reactionPower & explosivenessConditioning for game performanceModify and adapt exercises based on age, skill level, and positionReduce injury risk through proper technique, mobility, and movement patternsTrack athlete progress and provide performance feedbackBuild strong relationships with athletes and parentsMaintain a competitive, team-oriented training environment Coaching ExpectationsA D1 Summer Football Coach must:Bring high energy, passion, and leadership to every sessionStart and finish sessions on time with structured programmingTeach proper technique and ensure athlete safety at all timesAct as a mentor and role model for young athletesDeliver elite-level coaching in:Strength & conditioningSpeed & agilityFootball movement and performance QualificationsValid AED/CPR/First Aid CertificationAt least one NCCA-accredited certification (CSCS, NASM, etc.)Minimum 1 year of strength & conditioning or football coaching experiencePlaying or coaching experience in football (high school, college, or higher preferred)Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred)Ideal CandidateFormer football player or coach with strong knowledge of the gameHigh-energy leader who thrives in a fast-paced environmentPassionate about developing athletes both physically and mentallyStrong communicator with athletes, parents, and staffCommitted to helping athletes dominate their upcoming seasonBenefits/PerksContinuing education through company-sanctioned eventsFree membership in a state-of-the-art training facilityOpportunity to work with competitive football athletes preparing for fall seasonHands-on coaching experience in speed, strength, and position-specific developmentCompensation: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
