The successful candidate will be a senior technical leader, responsible for driving enterprise-critical projects, setting technical direction, and mentoring a small team of data scientists. Key responsibilities include leading flagship AI/ML projects, acting as a technical authority on advanced AI methods, and ensuring that data science solutions align with the firm's strategic priorities. The role demands a deep technical expertise in machine learning, causal inference, deep learning, and statistical modeling, as well as the ability to influence decision-makers and deliver measurable outcomes at the enterprise level. Applicants must have 10-12+ years' of experience in data science or machine learning, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-impact projects, and a Ph.D. in a related quantitative discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python (or R), cloud-based platforms, and modern ML frameworks, and be recognized as a technical thought leader. Experience in mentoring or leading high-performing teams, as well as a background in responsible AI practices, is essential. Preferred experience includes a background in AI/ML or data science publications, contributions to the open-source ecosystem, and familiarity with advanced analytics frameworks.
