We are seeking a skilled Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer to support the design and development of aerospace and defense systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis, along with experience working cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams. This role is responsible for developing analytical models, supporting product development, and driving root cause investigations to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with program requirements.Key Responsibilities:Perform thermal, structural, dynamic, and functional analyses to support aerospace and defense programsDevelop and validate analytical models to ensure products meet functional and performance requirementsEvaluate alternative design concepts and provide recommendations based on analysis resultsSupport product development, testing, and upgrades through detailed engineering analysisParticipate in root cause investigations and failure analysis to resolve complex technical issuesCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve product performance and reliabilityQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field8+ years of experience in design and/or analysis within aerospace and defenseStrong background in Finite Element Analysis and analytical modelingExperience presenting technical findings in support of design reviewsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to interpret technical drawingsStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with ANSYS Workbench, including structural, vibration, and dynamics modulesExperience with SolidWorksAdvanced degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience with energetic materialsAbility to perform explicit dynamic analysesKnowledge of space vehicle mechanisms and design
