Piping Designer

We are seeking a talented Piping Designer to join our team supporting the design and development of a cutting-edge uranium processing and nuclear materials facility. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to highly specialized, high-impact infrastructure that plays a critical role in national energy, security, and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineering and design leaders to deliver precise, high-quality piping layouts and drawings within a complex, highly regulated nuclear environment.What You’ll DoDevelop and produce 2D and 3D piping designs for systems supporting uranium processing and facility operationsCreate and modify CAD drawings (plans, layouts, isometrics, and sketches) of moderate complexityPerform 3D modeling and layout design to support constructability and operational efficiencyReview vendor equipment documentation and ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirementsSupport updates to Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and pipeline documentationCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and fabrication teamsEnsure all work aligns with industry standards, nuclear safety regulations, and internal proceduresSupport issue resolution and proactively identify discrepancies in design deliverablesWhat You BringAssociate degree (or equivalent) in a technical field, or a combination of education and relevant experience (4+ years total)Experience in piping design, CAD modeling, and layout developmentWorking knowledge of industry codes, standards, and design practicesAbility to interpret technical documents and drawings in a multidisciplinary environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlinesEffective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred ExperienceExperience supporting piping design in industrial, nuclear, or process facilitiesFamiliarity with 3D model reviews and piping system coordinationStrong experience with Smart Plant 3DHexagon Smart 3D (S3D)AutoCADSmartPlant Review (SPR) or Navisworks (NWS)Important RequirementsU.S. Citizenship required due to the sensitive nature of the work and facility access requirementsAbility to work onsite in the Energy Corridor area of Houston
