Senior Piping Designer (S3D)
Position OverviewThe Senior Piping Designer will lead and support the development of complex piping system layouts and design packages using 3D modeling software. This role will work closely with engineering, construction, and vendor teams to deliver high-quality designs from concept through construction.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for piping systems and equipment layoutsPrepare full design packages including conceptual, preliminary, and IFC deliverablesGenerate and review isometrics, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and fabrication drawingsPerform equipment and piping layout from PFDs and P&IDsReview and check drawings for accuracy, constructability, and complianceCoordinate with stress engineers, pipe support teams, vendors, and constructionSupport development of BOMs, material take-offs, and procurement listsLead or support drafting teams and occasionally serve as a Project Lead or CheckerQualifications10+ years of piping design / drafting experienceStrong experience with SmartPlant 3D (S3D) and/or PDMS / Aveva E3DProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeExperience with onshore plant design (refining, petrochemical, gas processing)Strong background in mechanical layouts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and skid/package designAbility to develop designs from concept (PFD/P&ID) through constructionExperience working with 2D and 3D drawings, model space, and drafting standardsStrong attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.PRO023
