Field Inspector - Transmission Line and Substation

Position Title: Field Inspector - Transmission Line and Substation - 11-8670Retired utilities workers are highly encouraged to apply!Work that will be performed but not limited to: Steel Structure foundation and repair inspections, substation foundation and repair inspections, overseeing wood pole treatment and testing methods, overseeing steel structure coating crews, full evaluation of transmission structures that will help evaluate health of electrical circuits, and Assess storm damage and support emergency restoration crews.ExperienceThe successful candidate will have 5+ years of active field experience, computer skills (to properly fill out daily and weekly reports) and also be capable of photo documentation with working knowledge of Word and ExcelTravel requirement is based on project locationMinimum 5 years preferred 7 years of knowledge of transmission line work, foundations and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities, are all strongly preferredKnowledge of QA/QC inspections and reporting practicesKnowledge of various electronics used to create reportsRequired SkillsIncluded but not limited to:Must have current and valid driver’s licenseMust be a US CitizenProficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and comparing with the customer or engineers’ standardsCombined in the below statementProficient in both verbal and written communicationThe ability to create detailed reportsPhysical RequirementsIncluded but not limited to:Occasional overtime may be required.Able and willing to travel in OH, PA, Virginia, WV, Jersey, Maryland.
