QA Tester (Manual + Automation)Durham, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Full-TimeA growing life insurance and annuities organization is seeking a QA Tester to join their engineering team. This role focuses on testing backend systems and transaction-based applications, supporting key platforms including policy administration and customer communications tools.This position involves a mix of manual testing (70%) and automation (30%), working closely with engineering leadership and collaborating with offshore teams to ensure quality across multiple systems and integrations.What You’ll DoExecute manual and automation testing across backend systemsTest policy administration platforms, transaction workflows, and integrationsWrite and maintain test cases, test plans, and documentationManage defects through the full lifecycle and support resolutionBuild and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM)Validate data accuracy and business logic tied to financial transactionsPartner with engineering and offshore QA teams on testing effortsWhat They’re Looking ForQA testing experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldStrong experience with manual testing and exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)Experience testing backend systems and transaction-based applications (not UI-focused)Ability to write test cases and clearly document testing processesUnderstanding of defect lifecycle and QA best practicesExperience working with offshore teamsNice to HaveExperience in insurance, annuities, banking, or financial servicesFamiliarity with policy administration systemsKnowledge of annuity products (RILA, FIA, MYGA)SQL or data validation experienceExperience with CCM tools
