RN PRN | Nightshift - FREESTANDING EMERGENCY SERVICES

About the Role:The RN PRN Nightshift position at our Freestanding Emergency Room is a critical role focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care during overnight hours. The primary goal is to assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent medical conditions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the nurse to collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and effective patient care. The nurse will also be responsible for monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and documenting all care activities accurately. Ultimately, this position ensures that patients receive safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout the night shift, contributing to positive health outcomes and patient satisfaction.Minimum Qualifications:Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice within the United States.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, in emergency or ICU.Ability to work night shifts on a PRN (as needed) basis with flexibility to cover varying schedules.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to manage urgent and emergent patient conditions.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Pals CertificationExperience working in a freestanding emergency room or emergency department environment.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems commonly used in emergency care.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon arrival and continuously monitor patient status throughout the night shift.Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.Document all nursing care, patient interactions, and clinical observations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions and coordinating with emergency medical services as needed.Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions to promote understanding and compliance.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with infection control and safety regulations.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and patient care outcomes.Skills:
