FULL-CHARGE Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Private Real Estate Company seeks a full-time bookkeeper to support staff in day-to-day operations and maintain financial systems as well as reporting structures for the organization. This role handles the daily posting of financial transactions in Yardi and RealPage Financial Suite, prepares financial reports, reconciles bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers, and ensures records are accurate and taxes and bills are paid. The role reports to Key Principle/COO. The role is responsible for payroll and benefits, building related tasks such as maintenance and supplies, and general administrative support. Position Summary: Manages a variety of general office activities and accounting/bookkeeping duties by performing the following responsibilities personally or through supervisors. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned). Duties and Responsibilities: · Implement day-to-day accounting operations, with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting · Produce timely, accurate, and complete financial statements for all levels · Maintain proper accounting records · Accurately process financial transactions and pay invoices in a timely manner · Provide information during the preparation of audited financial statements and all tax returns · Administer payroll · Manage benefits administration · Help maintain and update office and board policies and procedures · Answer the phone, respond to email inquiries · Process termination of benefits · Process pension documents · Process stakeholder distributions · Hold periodic meetings with company accountant · Process inter-entity company allocations · Maintain COIs in system · Other duties as assigned by the top executives Qualifications and Experience: · Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities · Good communications skills, both written and verbal · Experience collaborating effectively with others, both internally and externally. · Good attitude working with other is a MUST · Good time management skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality · Proven ability to discuss complex and time-sensitive options in the best interests of the organization · Three+ years of prior bookkeeping experience · Proficiency with Yardi, Appfolio, RealPage and QuickBooks or other property accounting software · Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, word processing, and databases · Proficiency using Excel · Pension Contributions · Real Estate Taxes- In Lieu of Taxes Due · Payroll/New hire on-boarding · Insurance renewals · Security Deposit/Returns · Distributions · Cash Management · Income and Expenses to municipalities · Bank Reconciliation · Journal Entries · Depreciation processing Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated salary range for the position is $57,000.
