SEC Financial Reporting, Associate

Associate, Sec Financial ReportingBlue Owl is looking to hire an Associate to join the SEC Financial Reporting team supporting the firm's external reporting and public company obligations. This role will assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, earnings materials, and Board and Audit Committee meeting materials, while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and timeliness. The Associate will play a key role in coordinating across finance, accounting, legal, compliance, and investor-facing teams to support an efficient close and reporting process.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of the Company's external financial reporting process, including quarterly and annual reporting (Form 10-Q/K, Form 8-K, proxy statement, and other SEC filings as required), ensuring the highest degree of quality with timely deliverablesAssist in the preparation of quarterly earnings and management reporting materials, including Audit Committee and Board meeting materialsAssist in the preparation of firmwide AUM and fundraise dataAssist in the preparation of disclosure checklists, disclosure committee materials and statutory financial statements using both U.S. and international reporting standardsCoordinate amongst various groups to facilitate an efficient close and reporting processWork closely and develop strong working relationships within the team, finance/accounting group and other internal departments, including product fund accounting, platform, legal and compliance, corporate development, investor operations, marketing and investor relations teamsProvide guidance, training and feedback, including review of key deliverables, to our offshore team to support skill development and consistent deliveryProactive effort to help identify gaps in current reporting process and participate in the implementation of new controls and strategic solutions, improving processes, resolving inefficiencies and documenting tasksEnsure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and maintain policies and proceduresMonitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and regulationsAssist with quarterly review / annual audit requestsMaintain procedures documentationSupport cross functional projectsQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science or other related fields2-5 years of relevant professional experienceCPA preferredBig four or financial services industry / alternative asset manager experience preferredUnderstanding of US GAAP and SEC rulesAdvanced excel skills, programming language / database experience a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsXBRL and Workiva experience a plusExperience working with Oracle or other general ledger systems, including processing journal entries a plusAdvanced MS PowerPoint skills a plusExperience using modern AI tools a plus, such as prompt-based assistants and workflow automation, to streamline processes and enhance output qualityIt is expected that the base annual salary range for this New Jersey based position will be $105,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
