Pipefitter / Welder | Semiconductor Industry (Phoenix)
Job OverviewMarketech International Corporation USA is seeking a skilled Pipefitter / Welder to support installation, fabrication, welding, testing, and commissioning of piping systems in semiconductor manufacturing and facility environments. This role is responsible for working on high-purity and industrial piping systems that support critical fab infrastructure, including ultra-pure water, chemical delivery, gas distribution, and exhaust systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and industrial settings, strong blueprint and P&ID reading ability, and hands-on experience with precise installation and welding practices in high-specification environments.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, spool drawings, and specifications to understand piping layouts, materials, and system requirementsFabricate, assemble, and install piping systems using stainless steel tubing, electropolished tubing, plastics such as PVC and PFA, copper, and other specialty materialsPerform high-purity welding, including orbital TIG (GTAW) welding, while maintaining proper purge procedures and contamination control standardsCut, thread, bend, fit, and join piping to exact tolerances using welding, brazing, compression fittings, mechanical fittings, fused joints, or other approved methodsInstall pipe supports, hangers, brackets, and racks while maintaining proper alignment, slope, and vibration controlPerform pressure testing, leak detection, flow testing, and visual or automated inspections to verify installation quality and system integrityTroubleshoot and repair leaks, misalignments, and integration issues during installation and commissioningMaintain cleanroom protocols and contamination control procedures while working in controlled semiconductor environmentsSupport specialized systems such as ultra-pure water loops, chemical delivery systems, gas cabinets, bulk gas lines, and exhaust systemsPre-fabricate spools or modules off-site when applicable and complete field installation onsiteMaintain weld logs, material traceability, and quality documentation for project validation and auditsAssist with flushing, passivation, certification, commissioning, and startup of piping systemsCollaborate with engineers, electricians, HVAC technicians, tool installers, quality personnel, and apprentices to support project execution and training requirementsFollow OSHA standards, applicable codes, semiconductor best practices, and site-specific safety proceduresMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentSuccessful completion of background check and drug screenValid driver's licenseProven experience as a Pipefitter / Welder in commercial and industrial environmentsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and related construction documentsExperience testing systems using specialized tools and equipmentExperience working with high-pressure and chemical systemsProficiency with hand tools and pipefitting or welding equipmentUnderstanding of construction site operations and safe work practicesAbility to perform skilled installation, repair, and renovation work in active industrial environmentsPreferred QualificationsBilingual in Spanish or MandarinDegree or training in a related fieldProject management experienceOSHA 30 certificationExperience in semiconductor, cleanroom, high-purity, or mission-critical environmentsSkillsPipe fabrication and installationHigh-purity welding and orbital TIG weldingBlueprint, schematic, and P&ID readingPressure testing and leak detectionCleanroom and contamination control awarenessHigh-pressure and chemical system supportTroubleshooting and repairDocumentation and weld log maintenanceCollaboration across trades and project teamsSafety, quality, and detail orientationEqual Employment Opportunity StatementMarketech International Corporation USA is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, religious creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, military and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by local law, regulation, or ordinance.
