DescriptionJob SummaryTo develop and oversee a ministry to Young Adults (College and Young Singles) ages 18–30ish, providing Biblical leadership and fostering assimilation into the church body and into an active, growing walk with Christ. This role will champion the vision of Green Acres Baptist Church by helping Young Adults Connect to Jesus, Grow in His likeness, and Multiply for His purpose.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone at this time.Duties/ResponsibilitiesPlan for and promote a ministry to Young Adults that includes but is not limited to:Multiplying Connect Groups (on and off campus)Developing and implementing a Young Adult Ministry strategy for multi-site (new campuses)Planning and executing events, activities, and fellowship opportunities.Creating a clear discipleship and leadership development pipelineCoordinating annual mission trips, retreats, and service opportunitiesIdentify, Recruit, Develop, and Deploy volunteer leaders to serve within Young Adult Ministry programs and Connect GroupsProvide consistent teaching, preaching, and/or facilitation for Young Adult gatherings, ensuring theological accuracy and practical application.Build intentional relationships with Young Adults through personal discipleship, campus visits, and community presence.Collaborate with appropriate GABC committees, staff, and lay leadership to provide facilities and resources, including space, equipment, and supplies.Partner with other ministries (College, Missions, Worship, etc.) to create cross-generational and cross-ministry opportunities for engagement.Effectively oversee expenditures for the Young Adult Ministry budget, ensuring responsible stewardshipMaintain an active presence on local college campuses and in community spaces to foster outreach and evangel.Perform pastoral duties as requested, including hospital visitation, pastoral counseling, weddings, and funerals.Maintain accurate records of ministry participants, decisions for Christ, and discipleship engagement.Accept other responsibilities as requested by the Adult Discipleship Pastor and Senior PastorReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.RequirementsPreferred Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and guest service skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong supervisory and leadership skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and delegate effectivelyAbility to relate to and connect with young adults in various life stages and cultural backgroundsProficiency in using social media and digital tools for ministry promotion and connectionEducation and ExperienceSeminary degree preferred (or working toward completion)Prior ministry experience preferred, especially in Young Adult, College, or Student MinistryExperience in teaching, discipleship, and volunteer leader development is highly valuedPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.The candidate must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time.The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of books, equipment, or materials.The candidate must be able to speak clearly and audibly in front of large groups of people.Other dutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
