The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care across inpatient and outpatient environments.Job Summary:The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides comprehensive care to neurosurgical patients in clinic, hospital, and operative settings. This role includes acute and chronic patient management, first assist responsibilities in the operating room, participation in hospital rounds, and shared call coverage. The position works closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Assess patient health status, wellness, and compliance with care plansDetermine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresProvide acute and chronic patient care including histories and physicalsMonitor therapies and administer medications and injectionsPerform suturing and wound care as neededTriage patient calls and evaluate patient concernsRespond to medical emergencies including CPRDocument patient care and maintain accurate patient recordsEducate patients and families to promote continuity of careAssist physicians during surgeries in the operating roomParticipate in hospital roundsRespond to after-hours and weekend patient callsConsult with interdisciplinary team members as neededMaintain strict patient confidentialityPrerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:CPR and ACLS certificationFor Physician Assistants: Graduate of an AMA-accredited PA programActive or scheduled NCCPA certificationBA/BS required; MS preferredFor Nurse Practitioners: Current Arizona RN licenseCurrent Arizona APRN licenseNational certification approved by Arizona APRN BoardCompletion of RN First Assist program meeting AORN standards (for NP first assist in OR)Experience preferred; new graduates consideredIf you meet all of our criteria and would like to be considered, please apply with your most updated Resume/CV.
