The Controller would oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance within a construction and real estate environment. DescriptionThe Controller will Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payrollPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planningEnsure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirementsImplement and maintain strong internal controls and financial processesMonitor project accounting and track costs against budgets for construction/development projectsCoordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutionsLead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and performance managementDeliver financial insights and reporting to senior leadership to support strategic decision-makingProfileSuccessful Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within construction, real estate, or project-based environmentsStrong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and percentage-of-completion accountingProven experience managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processesDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor an accounting teamHighly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience implementing and maintaining internal controls and improving financial processesProficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skillsStrong communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadershipAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively Job OfferA competitive base salary and bonus!
