IoT Software Engineer

Position Overview: We are on the hunt for a resourceful and dynamic IoT Software Engineer who thrives on innovation and adapting to new technological paradigms. This role involves embracing the home automation sphere with enthusiasm, diving into defining, developing, and driving projects forward using a rapid prototyping approach within an agile, project-centric team. Your Role and Responsibilities: Serving as the go-to Expert and Architect, crafting comprehensive IoT cloud solutions, from device/sensor integration to cloud services. Representing our team in IoT-centric projects, bringing specialized knowledge to the forefront. Engaging in professional discussions to elevate understanding of IoT complexities, trends, and industry-wide challenges. Providing technical and functional insights on various ongoing IoT projects. Guiding and shaping the development of less experienced engineers. Contributing to the growth of our IoT technological assets, thought leadership, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Showcasing internal expertise through presentations and demonstrations to both internal teams and external partners. Defining and advocating for engineering excellence and best practices within the IoT domain. Crafting and refining prototypes from concept to functional test phases, continually iterating based on deployment feedback. Committing to the ongoing learning of new technologies pertinent to IoT, aligning with the company's mission and innovation objectives. What You Need to Bring: Over 5 years of experience in IoT cloud services delivery, spanning the spectrum from hardware/sensors to cloud applications, preferably with AWS and/or Azure. A solid background of at least 5 years in software development with .NET, Node.js, or Angular. Hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure, including a variety of their services and tools. AWS/Azure certifications are a significant plus. Proficiency in embedded operating systems, IoT device services, and edge computing platforms. Practical knowledge of hardware components like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and familiarity with standard sensors/electronics. A strong grasp of communication protocols such as RFID, BLE, and others relevant to IoT connectivity. Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including GIT, and familiarity with project management tools like JIRA. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Stellar communication abilities in both written and verbal forms. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with at least 3 years of IoT experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 6 years in the IoT field.
