The ideal candidate will have *2–4 years of professional Java development experience*, with strong hands-on expertise in *Java 11/17, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and database technologies*. This role will focus on designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining scalable backend services and applications. The developer will work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve technical issues, support application functionality, and deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment. Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development * Design, develop, test, and maintain *Java-based backend applications and services*. * Build scalable and efficient backend systems using *Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem*. * Develop and maintain *RESTful APIs* and application integrations. * Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code following software development best practices. * Modify and enhance existing applications to correct defects, improve performance, and support new requirements. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical knowledge sharing. Database Development * Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot database queries. * Work with relational databases such as *Microsoft SQL Server* and/or NoSQL databases such as *MongoDB and Redis*. * Develop data access layers using *Hibernate/JPA and Spring Data*. * Analyze database and application performance and implement improvements where needed. Application Support & Troubleshooting * Diagnose and resolve application defects, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks. * Troubleshoot code and implement system changes to resolve production and customer issues. * Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand and resolve support tickets and incidents. * Provide technical support and guidance related to software applications. * Document customer interactions, technical issues, solutions, and workflows accurately and on time. Security & Quality * Implement appropriate application security and data protection practices. * Follow established coding standards, development processes, and quality guidelines. * Ensure software is reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable. * Participate in testing, debugging, and continuous improvement activities. Collaboration & Agile Development * Work effectively with developers, engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams. * Translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions. * Participate in *Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities*. * Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project deadlines. * Contribute to process and technical improvements across the development team. Required Qualifications * *2–4 years of professional software development experience.* * Strong proficiency in *Java 11 and Java 17*. * Hands-on experience with *Spring Boot* and the broader Spring ecosystem. * Experience with *Spring Data and/or Spring Security*. * Strong experience developing *RESTful APIs*. * Experience with *Hibernate/JPA*. * Strong understanding of *object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development principles*. * Experience with *Microsoft SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases*. * Experience with *Git or other version-control systems*. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality code. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with *AWS or other cloud platforms*. * Experience with *CI/CD pipelines*. * Experience with *Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle*. * Experience working in an *Agile/Scrum environment*. * Knowledge of *JMS/Messaging*. * Experience with *XML*. * Experience with *SOAP and REST web services*. * Experience with *J2EE/JEE and JSP*. * Knowledge of full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
