Lead C++ / Java Software Engineer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Lead C++ / Java Software Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications and cloud-based services. The ideal candidate should have strong C++ expertise along with experience in databases, APIs, microservices, and modern DevOps technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable software components and cloud-based services using C++.Build and integrate REST/RPC APIs for internal and external applications.Work with existing enterprise applications and contribute to architecture improvements and performance optimization.Develop unit, integration, component, and end-to-end testing strategies.Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve application reliability and scalability.Design and optimize database solutions, including SQL queries and schema changes.Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality software.Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and services.Required Skills3+ years of commercial software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with C++17 and STL.Good understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and Microservices Architecture.Experience developing or supporting high-performance, enterprise-grade applications.Experience with one or more of Linux, Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience, including complex queries, database migrations, and performance tuning.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Good to HaveMultithreaded C++ programming and shared library development.Experience with Boost C++ Libraries.REST API development and integration.Experience with RPC technologies such as XML-RPC or SOAP.Java/Jakarta EE or Spring Boot experience.Experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms.Testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium, or pytest.Python development experience.Experience with billing, subscription, e-commerce, payments, or order-processing systems.CI/CD and DevOps experience with Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.Hands-on experience with Helm and Kubernetes deployments.Preferred CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hands-on C++ engineer who is comfortable working in a large enterprise codebase and has experience building scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications using modern cloud, database, containerization, and DevOps technologies.
