Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Piscataway, NJ. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. The role includes delivering lessons, adapting teaching methods to various learning styles, monitoring progress, and collaborating with parents, staff, and relevant professionals to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Additionally, the teacher will ensure regulatory compliance and foster positive communication and behavior among students. Qualifications Expertise in Special Education and experience working with students with disabilitiesStrong teaching skills, particularly for middle school levels, with the ability to adapt lesson plans to varying needsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleaguesKnowledge of creating and adhering to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Certification in Special Education (state certification required) or related credentialsPatience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
