CJCP serves its mission by offering rigorous educational programs with an emphasis on college preparation, college and career counseling, and extracurricular enrichment activities.Hiring for School Year 2026-2027English Special Education TeacherResponsibilities Include:Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's strengths and needs.Modify English curriculum materials and assessments to meet students' individualized goals.Use a variety of instructional techniques and assistive technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles.Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly; maintain accurate and timely records.Collaborate with general education teachers,case managers , counselors, and families to support student success.Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education laws and regulations.Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment.Accounts for student attendance and punctuality.Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures.Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities. Additional Responsibilities:Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent.Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student's educational programs.Facilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communication.Integrates appropriate technology into classroom instruction.Avoids behaviors which detract from staff morale.Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
