The outlet supports both resort guests and local visitors, providing a convenient and elevated experience centered around quality products and friendly service.The Barista plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for guests by delivering consistent beverage quality, efficient service, and a warm, engaging experience.Job Summary:Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages in accordance with established recipes and quality standardsProvide friendly, efficient, and engaging service to all guests, creating a welcoming and approachable atmosphereTake guest orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle transactions responsiblyMaintain knowledge of menu offerings, including beverage options, food items, and daily specialsEnsure consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portioning standardsAssist with preparation and service of light food offerings as neededMonitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to leadershipMaintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas including espresso machines, counters, storage areas, and guest-facing spacesFollow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of productsComplete opening, closing, and side work duties as assignedSupport team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environmentAssist other Food & Beverage outlets as needed based on operational demandHandle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to leadership when appropriateEnsure compliance with all company policies including responsible cash handling, time and attendance, and uniform standardsAttend required meetings and training sessionsComply with all policies outlined in the Handbook, Property Supplement, and company guidelinesEssential Functions of the Job:Ability to stand and remain active for up to 810 hoursAbility to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 25 lbsAbility to use repetitive hand movements for beverage preparationAbility to communicate effectively with guests and team membersAbility to work flexible hours including mornings, weekends, and holidaysTechnology and Equipment Used:Point of Sale SystemEspresso Machines and Coffee Equipment (grinders, brewers, milk steamers)Blenders and Small Kitchen EquipmentPhone and Communication DevicesBasic Cleaning Tools and SuppliesWorking Environment:Work will take place in a casual, guest-facing caf and bar environment within a resort settingFast-paced environment with variable business levels depending on seasonality and time of dayExposure to hot equipment, steam, and food and beverage preparation areasCombination of independent tasks and team-based serviceKey Skills & Experience Required:Prior barista or food and beverage experience preferred but not requiredStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work as part of a team and support overall operationsPositive attitude and passion for hospitalitySuccessful completion of satisfactory background checkAvailable and willing to work flexible hours based on business needsNo Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel.
