Nutrastrips is a rapidly growing dietary supplement company (1200% growth in 3 years) producing strip-based nutraceuticals. We're expanding our operations team as we scale from ~50 to 100+ employees.Job summary (1 paragraph) We're seeking an experienced Production Manager to run daily operations of our manufacturing floor, lead and develop production teams, and ensure on-time, cost-effective, and compliant manufacturing of dietary supplement products. This role reports to the the CEO and will be hands-on with process optimization, KPI management, quality interface, and hiring/training as we scale.Core responsibilities· Oversee day-to-day production operations (scheduling, staffing, equipment utilization) to meet volume targets and delivery timelines.· Lead, coach and grow a team of supervisors/operators; recruit and onboard production staff.· Develop and manage production schedules, manpower planning and shift coverage.· Maintain and improve productivity, yield, throughput and OEE metrics.· Implement and maintain cGMP, SOPs, HACCP/food safety principles (as applicable), and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, CFR Part 111 guidance for dietary supplements).· Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain and R&D on lot release, deviation handling, CAPAs and product transfers.· Manage root-cause analysis, continuous improvement projects (lean/six-sigma tools), and cost-reduction initiatives.· Oversee preventative maintenance coordination with engineering/maintenance.· Control labor costs, scrap, rework and inventory accuracy on the production floor.· Produce daily/weekly production reports and present performance to leadership.Required qualifications & experience· 5–10+ years in production/plant management within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, food, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.· Experience running/managing teams in a facility of similar or larger size (50+ employees and multi-shift operations).· Strong knowledge of cGMPs for dietary supplements (21 CFR Part 111) and practical quality-system experience.· Proven track record in driving productivity improvements and managing KPIs (OEE, yield, throughput).· Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, and shift management.· Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).· ERP/MES experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Fishbowl, Plex or similar) and comfort with Excel/BI reporting.Preferred· Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement training.· Experience with small-format dosing/strip technologies or similar pharmaceutical delivery formats.· Experience scaling operations during high-growth periods.· Suggested compensation (US, national benchmark)· Base salary: $95,000 – $140,000 depending on experience.· Total target comp (with bonus): $105,000 – $185,000.
