Sr. AWS Cloud Admin / Senior Database EngineerLocation: Reading, PA– Onsite Work Model: Hybrid – In-office Monday through Wednesday, with occasional Friday presenceJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sr. AWS Cloud Admin / Senior Database Engineer with strong expertise in AWS database services, PostgreSQL administration, database migrations, and hybrid cloud environments.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, managing, and optimizing resilient, scalable, and secure enterprise database platforms across on-premises, AWS cloud, and hybrid environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, engineer, administer, and optimize enterprise database platforms on AWS.Manage and support AWS Aurora, Amazon RDS, and PostgreSQL environments.Work with AWS database technologies including DynamoDB, Redis/MemoryDB, MySQL, and Snowflake.Ensure database reliability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.Plan and execute homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations across cloud and on-premises environments.Support hybrid and multi-cloud database architectures.Automate database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and operational tasks.Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues.Develop and maintain automation scripts using SQL, PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting.Support modern cloud-native database design and optimization with infrastructure, application, security, and cloud engineering teams.Required Skills10+ years of experience in database technologies5+ years of experience with AWS cloud databasesStrong hands-on experience with: AWS AuroraAmazon RDSPostgreSQL AdministrationDynamoDBRedis / MemoryDBMySQLSnowflakeStrong experience with on-premises databases and hybrid cloud architecturesProven expertise in database migrations, including homogeneous and heterogeneous migrationsStrong SQL skillsExperience with PowerShell and Unix shell scriptingExperience with database automation and performance optimizationStrong understanding of cloud-native database architectureKnowledge of Python and JSON is a plusAWS Certifications preferred
