The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest standards in product development, representing the R&D division in strategic partnerships, and leading the product development process from inception to advancement through each phase. A key aspect of the role is to be a subject matter expert and a guardian of the product development process, ensuring that the company's R&D efforts align with its strategic goals.Candidates for the VP of R&D position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive R&D experience in the food industry, with a focus on the successful execution of plant-based food products. Startup experience is preferred, and the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in food engineering, food science, or a related discipline, with a Master's degree or MBA being a plus. The role requires a leader with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to excel in a startup environment, and a proven track record of creating and implementing new procedures and processes.
