Maintenance - Supervisor 1st shift

Maintenance SupervisorThe maintenance supervisor is responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the facility with maximum up time of production equipment in a safe environment. Supervise employees to perform maintenance to facilitate meeting production goals. Oversee, monitor, and develop employee training, performance, and compliance of Company policies and procedures.Primary duties and responsibilities include:Supervising maintenance functions of facility and equipmentPromoting and modeling One Chromalloy cultureOrdering parts, components, and supplies and delegating these tasks as neededSupervising maintenance personnel on a daily basisManaging hazardous material and wastewater control, coordinating with Environmental Health and Safety departmentAdhering to all Company health, safety and environmental policiesCoordinating emergency response activitiesEvaluating staff performance, providing training, and managing disciplinary actions in partnership with Human ResourcesPerforming highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipmentProviding emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during productionPerforming scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine serviceReading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and servicePerforming a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsMaintaining a clean and organized work area supporting 5S methodsDetecting faulty operations, and defective materialSetting working hours to the department and obtaining approval through Operations ManagerDirecting and delegating workload to maintenance personnelPerforming all duties as assigned or neededMarginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals) for this position are:Vendor relationsFurnace surveys and certificationsForklift and Manlift operatorPerforming other tasks in the facility as neededEducation and work experience:High School Diploma or GED requiredAn AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferredElectrical and mechanical troubleshooting training and/or education a plus3-5 years proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentForklift and Manlift certificationsThe specific skills and knowledge required for this position are:Must be fluent in English, (speaking, reading, writing)Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or in-process documentsProven role model as a leaderBasic math skillsGood knowledge of maintenance functionKnowledge of waste managementAbility to constructively interact with employees at all levels within the organization
