Engineer II - Software Development (Python / AI)
Overview
In this role you will help transform how production data is collected and analyzed by building Python services, data pipelines, and AI/ML solutions. You will work closely with test and yield engineers to deliver practical, scalable systems deployed on the factory floor. The role focuses on turning complex manufacturing data into actionable insights and automating analysis. You’ll contribute to a cross-functional, AI-first transformation within a small software team embedded in semiconductor manufacturing, offering impact and growth opportunities within a global technology leader.

ResponsibilitiesBuild Python services, APIs, and data pipelines to collect, transform, and deliver manufacturing data at scaleDevelop and deploy AI/ML models and LLM-based solutions to automate analysis and surface actionable insightsDesign and maintain data infrastructure including databases, messaging systems, and web platformsCollaborate with test, yield, and process engineers to understand challenges and deliver effective solutionsIdentify and implement automation opportunities using an AI/ML-first mindsetMaintain clear technical documentation to reduce tribal knowledge
