You can expect a manageable call volume with an average of 0-3 consultations, 0-2 emergency department visits, and 0-2 surgeries per day. Key Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina (active license and DEA registration required) Board-certified in orthopaedic surgery Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS Experience using MediTech 6.1 EMR system (preferred) Schedule and Patient Load: Schedule: Call coverage only (details regarding call frequency to be discussed) Patient Load: Variable; expect an average of: 0-3 consultations per day 0-2 visits to the emergency department for closed reductions and admissions 0-2 surgeries per day (primarily wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, and incision and drainage procedures) Additional Information: Admissions are required for this call-focused role. Long bone trauma cases will be stabilized and transferred to a higher level of care.
