The W2E Field Laborer will work as part of a W2E crew focused on the renovation, maintenance, repair, and restoration of existing structures. The W2E Field Laborer will take direction from the W2E Field Foreperson.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Completes general construction labor tasks necessary for completion of W2E projectsTakes work direction from erection crew foreperson or bricklayerMay perform work of a miscellaneous nature as directed by forepersonUses materials/supplies in an efficient mannerHandles equipment in a responsible mannerFollows established safety procedures and policiesBasic QualificationsValid driver's license and reliable means of transportationExperience working with concrete or masonry constructionOther Required QualificationsAbility to carry out simple and complex verbal instructionsAbility to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all timesAbility to work from heights, including but not limited to ladders and aerial work platformsAbility to obtain membership to a local unionGeneral knowledge of construction practicesValid driver's license and reliable means of transportationAbility to travel extensively (50% of the time or more, including overnights) and work overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications2+ years of construction or manual labor experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentWelding certificationExperience working with precast and/or site-cast/tilt-up concreteExperience running concrete cutting equipmentCaulking experienceConcrete and masonry restoration experiencePhysical RequirementsField: Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailerWork EnvironmentField: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehiclesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
