Manufacturing Line Supervisor, Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6)
Lead the Line at Plant Portland
You start your shift at Plant Portland ready to set the pace. You gather a union crew for a quick huddle, map out the day’s priorities, and guide the team through Autonomous Maintenance Step 4 activities. As issues surface, you apply Progressive Maintenance Step 3 standards, stabilize basic conditions, and keep the line running safely and efficiently. Throughout the day you coach, de-escalate tough interpersonal moments with tact, and use Integrated Lean Six Sigma and Total Productive Maintenance to raise performance.
What you will do
Own daily execution of AM Step 4 and PM Step 3 systems on dedicated equipment.
Maintain equipment at basic conditions independently, executing both break-down and planned maintenance standards.
Advance TPM and Six Sigma practices, including qualification of AM Steps 5–6 and PM Step 3.
Lead and develop a line team in a union environment, modeling clear communication and attention to detail.
Navigate challenging interpersonal situations with diplomacy while influencing outcomes across a represented workforce.
What you bring
Union experience is required; expertise in IL6 and lean manufacturing is mandatory.
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Clear verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail.
Experience and education
2+ years of manufacturing experience (required).
Hands-on exposure to production processes (required).
People leadership experience (required), including experience working with union employees (required).
High school diploma (required).
Bachelor’s degree in mechanics, electrical, manufacturing, or a similar engineering field (preferred).
Schedule
Shift flexibility is required: Monday–Friday rotation across mornings (6:00am–2:00pm), afternoons (2:00pm–10:00pm), and nights (10:00pm–6:00am).
Saturday pay: $55.53/hr; Sunday pay: $74.04/hr.
Compensation
Base salary range: $77,000–$87,000. Final offer depends on experience, skills, education, and budget.
Eligible for a highly competitive bonus program with potential for overachievement based on performance and company results.
