Job DescriptionSenior Project Manager - Construction Job Description Position SummaryThe Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while leading project teams and maintaining strong client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction, estimating support, procurement, construction, and closeoutManage project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reportingDevelop, monitor, and maintain detailed project schedulesOversee subcontractor bidding, scope alignment, and contract negotiationsServe as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and stakeholdersLead OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and provide executive-level reportingIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategiesReview and approve RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applicationsEnsure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standardsCoordinate with Superintendents to align field operations with project goalsMentor and supervise Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Project EngineersDrive quality control and ensure project specifications are metQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)8-15+ years of experience in construction project managementProven experience managing large-scale projects (typically $20M-$100M+)Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and delivery methods (GC/CM, Design-Build, etc.)Experience in commercial, multifamily, industrial, or mixed-use constructionProficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera P6)Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management abilitiesAdvanced financial and cost control expertiseExcellent communication and client-facing skillsContract negotiation and risk managementStrategic planning and decision-makingAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously
