Orthopedic Group Practice

An Orthopedic Surgery practice located in western New York is seeking a physician assistant to join a busy practice. There are two physicians in the group, two PAs, one Nurse Practitioner and RNFA. The PA will work the majority of time in the office. Both physicians are performing surgery on a daily basis. The practice is also recruiting an Orthopedic Surgeon as well as a PA.Specific duties:Chart/History reviewsEMR documentationRadiologic Interpretation including MRI and X-rayPatient consultations(post-op, follow up, primary & ER referrals)Diagnose conditionsRecommend treatmentsSet & cast simple fracturesPerform injections and aspirationsStaple and suture removalWound evaluation and dressing changesRespond to patient telephone inquiriesRecord dictationsRecognize patient conditions that need to be referred to a physicianThe practice admits patients to a 65 bed community hospital in town. All trauma is referred to Buffalo, NY or Erie, PA.The practice is offering a competitive salary and benefit package.
