Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. is searching for a qualified individual to help lead our Alarm and Detection division in Rochester. The qualified candidate should be able to leverage their industry knowledge to lead a growing fire alarm and detection business by maintaining an existing customer base while developing new account sales in a variety of markets. This would include overseeing service projects, inspections, and monitoring accounts. Viking's specialized capabilities are virtually unlimited and we are one of the largest fire protection companies serving the Upper Midwest.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain existing customer relationships while establishing a new customer baseEnsure proper manpower for each project to maximize productivityUse code knowledge to provide accurate estimates and drawings for fire alarm installations and upgradesComplete estimates and proposals for new workEnsure all work complies with codes and standardsMonitor and track project progress ensuring the project remains on or under budgetRecommend improvements on project or procedures to improve overall company successProvide direction for future growth and planning of the fire alarm divisionEffectively plan the day-to-day activities of the assembly installation, and repair of fire alarm systemsProvide guidance and direction to crews in meeting budgets and schedule dates of each projectInform leadership of all issues affecting production, materials, schedule, costs, and relationshipsServe as trainer and coach for crew membersSome travel maybe requiredQualificationsStrong communication skills (oral and written) is a must haveAbility to function and thrive in a fast-paced environmentComputer skillsNICET in fire alarm is a plusSuppression experience/certification a plusInitiative and drive to grow a business unitStrong organizational skills requiredBusiness development/marketing skill a plusPossess a valid driver's licenseBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Profit sharing program, Employee stock program
