To learn more about the Colas USA Family of Companies, please visit www.colasusa.com.Job SummaryPromotes external sale of materials products including aggregates, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete; establishes and maintains customer relationships, and promotes the Company as a materials supplier of choice within established and emerging markets.Main ResponsibilitiesEmbrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teamsSupport, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policiesEngage professionally with customers and other entities including but not limited to private contractors, representatives of local and state government, and engineering firms in-person, virtually, and over the phone to develop and maintain relationships, and establish sales contracts with new and existing accountsWork closely with production operations to ensure existing customer needs are met while establishing new customer relationshipsTrack and analyze business trends and make recommendations for growth of customer baseTrack and maintain customer information, sales data and other information in internal systemsPresent market and sales data to management and operations teamsCoordinate with Sales Manager, internal sales staff, and operations/production staff to schedule customer deliveriesCoordinate with Quality Control to ensure product meets customer specificationsIdentify and assist with resolution of client concerns at the point of material deliveryPerforms other projects and duties as assignedEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentDegree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferredValid Driver’s License and clean driving history requiredSKills3+ years of experience working in an account management, sales, or related rolePrior experience working in construction, mining, manufacturing, or related industry preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal direct supervisionAbility to problem-solve and resolve issues in an efficient and effective mannerAbility to build and maintain positive relationships and represent the Company in a professional mannerExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individualsComputer skills, including but not limited to MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), CRM software, databases, etc.Business/financial acumen and understanding of basic accounting concepts, and product pricing methodsShort DescriptionWear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelinesRegularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objectsRegularly required to communicate (talk and hear)Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Occasionally required to sit for long periods at a desk using a computerRegular exposure working near to heavy equipment and machinery, exposure to loud noiseRegular exposure to typical construction and manufacturing site conditions, including dust, chemicals, and all weather conditionsMay be required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistanceRegional travel required with some overnight stays away from homeColas Inc.
