Our service offering includes primary medical care, behavioral health, pharmacy and dental services in an integrated model that provides a comprehensive approach to care for our patients.Position OverviewThe Triage Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical assessment and triage services to patients via telephone and in-person.THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, BI-ANNUAL BONUS, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.Essential TasksProvides comprehensive clinical assessment and triage services to patients via telephone and in-person encounters using established symptom-based protocols, clinical nursing standards, provider-directed guidance, and in accordance with the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and applicable regulatory standards. Determines urgency of patient needs, facilitates appropriate disposition, and ensures timely coordination and continuity of care. Documents all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR). Communicates effectively with providers regarding patient conditions, abnormal findings, pending labs, and urgent concerns to facilitate safe and efficient care. Reviews provider orders for clarity and appropriateness and ensures appropriate follow-up. Monitors pending labs and diagnostic tests to ensure timely provider review and patient notification. Performs CLIA-waived testing as applicable and ensures appropriate communication of results. Administers medications and treatments within scope of practice and according to established policies and procedures. Assists with clinical procedures, including wound care and other nursing interventions, as needed. Functions as a liaison between patients, providers, specialists, hospitals, urgent care centers, EMS, and community resources to promote coordinated, high-quality patient care and positive health outcomes. Serves as a patient advocate by addressing concerns with empathy, professionalism, and respect.Experience And EducationGraduate of an accredited school of nursing.Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina (or compact license legally recognized in North Carolina).Minimum one year of nursing experience in a physician practice, community health setting, emergency department, urgent care, medical-surgical, case management, or outpatient clinic preferred.Experience in telephone triage strongly preferred.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Strong computer skills and working knowledge of windows-based environment and EHR/EMR experience.ScheduleMonday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8 AM - 5 PM8 hour shiftDay shiftPhysical RequirementsConstant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.Frequent computer work required.Benefits401(k) and matchAD&D insuranceDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offHolidaysVision insuranceJob TypeFull-time, On siteLicense/CertificationBLS CertificationRegistered NurseBase Pay OverviewThe starting pay for this position is $65,520.00.
