Mechanical Engineer

Role Serve as a key contributor within a high-performing Interior Components and Systems engineering team. Develop best-in-class Interior Components and Systems that deliver exceptional luxury, craftsmanship, performance, safety, ergonomics, and overall functionality. Support the packaging, engineering development, release, and production launch of Interior Components and Systems across the product portfolio. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and vehicle engineering, prioritizing overall vehicle integration and performance over individual subsystem objectives. Partner with interior trim suppliers to drive technical excellence and ensure on-time program delivery. Implement and enhance effective development tools and innovative methodologies to support efficient product development. Qualifications 2–6 years of proven experience leading detailed development of Interior Components and Systems (such as hard trim, soft trim, instrument panels, door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.). Strong understanding of automotive Interior Components and Systems benchmarks, industry trends, and supplier capabilities. Experience defining, refining, and establishing technical product specifications and timelines to support accelerated development cycles toward Start of Production (SOP). Proficiency in CAD tools for creating 2D and 3D concepts, packaging layouts, component designs, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) studies (CATIA V5/V6 preferred). Hands-on experience supporting vehicle and product launch activities.
